Horror at the Homecoming

Friday night we hosted a murder mystery dinner with some church friends.  And by hosted, I mean we provided a house and we attended, and that's pretty much it.  I've never participated in anything like this before, and to be honest, I was NOT looking forward to it.  It involves dressing up and acting out parts.  Enough said... not my thing!  I requested a minimal part that involved little to no speaking/acting.  I invented my own part; Jessica Janitor. I could wear jeans and a denim shirt, little to no acting, and I could just clean up all the messes.  Now that's my style.  But, alas, no!  I was given the part of Dolly Dancer; a bubbly, talkative, dramatic, cheer leading, homecoming queen ... pretty much the opposite of my real personality.

So, how was it?  It was awkward, and weird, and (yes, I will admit it) a lot of fun!

I had to add some love for my best blog commenter Shiloh, mama to Bub 'n Sis

How can you not have fun when you get to be crowned homecoming king and queen?  I'll admit it - we are way cooler now than we ever were in high school!
