Week in Pictures, Winnings and FOVC Totals

I found this guy munching on my hard-earned tomatoes.  As annoying as that is, isn't God's creation amazing?

Any creature found in our yard is sure to become a pet or food for our pets.  Since there were 5 caterpillars on this tomato plant, three lucky ones became pets, two not-so-lucky ones became frog food.

Taz trying to break the caterpillar free

to which he succeeded, and then ran.  I love this picture, as it shows the pure joy he finds in orneriness

No I won't buy you a pony, but you're free to make your own.  I love my Eldest's imagination

and Raven's cuteness

Typically Mr T makes breakfast on Saturday mornings.  He's been experimenting how to turn a waffle into chocolate cake, but still call it a waffle (the classic dellema - breakfast vs dessert).  These chocolate chip/chocolate waffles treaded the line nicely, and he allowed the kids to use chocolate syrup instead of maple.  Yes, he is the fun one.

I had to go to Chicago for a couple of days for work.  I met up with my friend Suz, and she gave me a tour of her city.  I'm not gonna lie - it was nice to have a couple of days to relax by myself.  But, there's nothing better than walking in the door and being greeted by a running mob of hugs, kisses and "I missed you's."  It's just not the same when the Hyatt bellman does it.

Meeting up with cousins at the local county fair, overpriced, underinspected carnival rides and my two oldest chasing ribbons tied to scared-out-of-their-skull calf butts ... doesn't get much better than this.

For all the talk about Taz and his daredevil self, he was not so sure of these rides.

I'm a lucky girl ... I just won these three great prizes from a  drawing on We Are Grafted. Anyone read either of these books?  Thoughts?  The necklace was provided by The Sparrow Fund Etsy store.  Proceeds go to help support parents trying to adopt.  They have some beautiful jewelry.  You should go check it out.

And last but not least, MB's Virtual Baby Shower raised a total of ...
to benefit at risk children in Southern Ethiopia through an awesome organization, FOVC (Friends of Orphans and Vulnerable Children.  I am so blessed.  I have truly amazing friends and one great big God.  When I thought this idea would maybe raise a few hundred bucks, He had a bigger plan (as per usual).  Thank you Lord for letting me be a tiny part of your plan and thank you to all who gave.  I wish I knew you all by name and could tell you personally how much it meant ...

As much as I know Suz likes riding the subway topless, she was actually wearing a shirt here.  Not sure why the pic looks like that :)
